Yesterday they were saying our area of Minneapolis might be targeted for rioting; particularly potential from right wing extremists and white nationalists (I live in a very diverse neighborhood) but very little happened. Today the word is that Last night they were shuttling materials, cars, and planning and that tonight they are planning to hit our neighborhood.
We shall see. We’ve got our house and yard pretty buttoned and good defense plan if need be.
On a car related note; I’m finding myself thinking the 440i would be a good garage addition. Manual, fast, bigger than the 996, RWD, not horrible fuel economy. Not that I’m shopping but it’s Neat! I’ve glossed over recent BMWs lately but this seems like a lot of car:

As an owner of the predecessor of this car, the big knock against it is BMW removed all the steering feel when they made it.

Yeah, Minneapolis has been overrun by white supremacist. They’ve been recorded in dozens of videos looting and burning and doing bad shit. Oh wait... they haven’t.

To be very clear; i remain skeptical but the reports(and they are very credible ones) are that they are targeting this specific part of Minneapolis . Essentially as a way to sew discord and undermine protestors .

I’ll bet you a kidney it’s bullshit, just like the earlier statements by the ... mayor or governor- can’t remember which one , about white supremacists and outside agitators.
I’m watching TV as I’m typing this, seeing looting at a Ross store in Long Beach, and not a white supremacist in sight. As a matter of fact, not a white person in sight. I watched a video of a bunch of thugs beating up a tiny white lady in NY and destroying her store. I watched multiple similar videos as well, all over the country. Everything I’ve seen in Minneapolis wasn’t a bunch of white supremacists looting Targets.

Definitely give it a test drive! I drove a 435i back in 2015 and was extremely disappointed by the steering and clutch feel...but I’ve read that they fixed at least the steering for the facelift (2018?). And in every other way, it’s a very capable car.

Also, the 440i in Estoril Blue with the M-Sport is a great car. The 435i isn’t a slouch either.
